(Feb. 1, 2010) - The Heritage High School boys and girls swam to a third place finish at Friday's AAA Cedar Run District meet in Prince William at the Freedom Aquatic Center. Loudoun Valley boys and girls came in fourth in the five-team meet.
Battlefield won the boys title with 520 points with Osbourn runner-up at 435. Osbourn won on the girls side with 510.5 points and Battlefield runner-up at 410. The Heritage boys scored 304 and Pride girls finished at 368.5.
Valley's boys notched 253 with the Vikings girls 248. Stonewall was fifth in both races with 220 on the boys side and 195 on the girls.
Heritage junior Damon Rosenburg (1:01.25 in the 100 breast), Heritage senior Geoffrey Wright (49.62 in the 100 free) and Valley junior Christian Reinertson (22.86 in the 50 free) all won district titles as did the Vikings 200 free relay of sophomore Capwell Taylor, senior Jack Parker, Senior Chris Rabung and Reinertson anchoring a 1:33.79 finish.
Rosenburg was also second in the 200 IM (2:06.25) and Wright was second in the 100 fly (54.43) as was Taylor in the 100 free (50.79) and Valley freshman Andrew Ray was third in the 500 free (5:34.01).
On the girls side, Heritage freshman Kaleigh Rosenburg was first in the 100 breast (1:07.60) and second in the 200 IM (2:11.84) while Valley junior Kelsey Ryan was first in the 100 back (1:01.78) and second in the 100 fly (59.78).
Heritage junior Jordan Gold took second in the 200 free (2:08.65) and Pride freshman Allison Grecco was second in the 500 free (5:42.42). Valley sophomore Michelle Crowley was third in the 500 (5:44.57).
