Gymnastics: Valley's Amanda Huebner Advances to States, Vikes 4th in Northwest Region

(Feb. 16. 2010) - The Loudoun Valley High School gymnastics team finished fourth in the AAA Northwest Region meet Monday at Osbourn Park with a 137.250 score. Viking Amanda Huebner score 9.650 to finish second on the floor and advance to the VHSL open state meet this weekend also at OP.

Huebner will also compete on the bars at States as she scored a 9.000 to take ninth and will advance as an alternate since a gymnast ahead of her will not compete.

Battlefield won the meet with a 149.750 and Colonial Forge also advances as a team with a 142.975. Stafford took third at 139.925.
