(Feb. 25, 2010) - Loyola University head women's soccer coach Katherine Vettori announced on Feb. 16 seven student-athletes will join the Greyhounds in the fall and comprise the Class of 2014. The incoming class includes five athletes from the Baltimore-Washington region, including Loudoun Valley High School keeper Dijana Haracic.
Haracic was an All-Region, All-District and as a sophomore Washington Post All-Met honorable mention goalkeeper for the Vikings.
She was a teammate of fellow signees, Alex Reed and Sarah Hunt, on the McLean Dragons who won Region 1 Premier League Championships in 2007 and 2008, the Virginia State Cup in 2006, 2008 and 2010 and the Las Vegas and PDA College Showcase champions in 2008.
Her father, Izet, played professional soccer in Germany and represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 1994 Olympics as a bobsledder. Her mother, Anica, participated in professional European karate.
