Gymnastics: Stone Bridge Just Misses VHSL State Meet Team Slot, Four Bulldogs Advance

(Feb. 19, 2010) - The Stone Bridge High School gymnastics squad missed a trip to the VHSL state meet by less than a point as Stone Bridge was edged for second place in the Northern Region meet Wednesday by Herndon, 142.050 to 141.625.

Chantilly won the meet with 143.37. Only two teams advance but Stone Bridge will send four athletes in individual events including Tori Severin, who was second on the bars with a 9.650, Kelly McCabe, Casey Merwin and Amy Fissmer.

The state meet is Saturday at Osbourn Park High School.
