(Feb. 25, 2010 ) - The 29th Annual Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) Regional Science & Engineering Fair has an urgent need for judges in the following categories:
· Animal Sciences
· Biochemistry
· Chemistry
· Earth & Planetary Science
· Mathematical Sciences
· Microbiology
· Plant Sciences
The fair will be held on Thursday, March 18th, at Briar Woods High School.
Many judges have advanced degrees or professional experience in the categories they judge. Judges from business and the community, as well as retirees and volunteers who have scientific expertise, are welcome.

This annual event involves more than 200 LCPS high school students. The fair's purpose is to stimulate student interest in science and engineering; to encourage students to formulate questions about science and participate in independent science research; to provide students with an opportunity to present their research to scientific professionals and the community; and to give public recognition to talented students for their work.
