News: Potomac Falls Journalist Wins VHSL Basketball Feature Writing Contest

(Feb. 25, 2010) - Potomac Falls High School journalist Danny Marks is the winner of the 2009-10 VHSL Basketball Feature Writing Contest.

Marks is a staff member of The Roar newspaper, advised by Jacquelyn Phillips. By winning, Marks will have his story published in the 2009-10 VHSL Basketball Championship Souvenir Program, receive three copies of that program, receive his winning story on a commemorative plaque and receive four tickets to the VHSL Basketball Championship games held in Richmond at VCU’s Siegel Center on March 12-13.

There is a chance Marks would get to see his Panthers play but first they will have to get by rival Broad Run tonight at 7 p.m. in a Region II Division 4 semifinal in Sterling.
