Softball: Potomac Falls Junior Pitcher Kiefer Makes Verbal Commitment to James Madison

(Feb. 14, 2010) - Potomac Falls High School junior pitcher Heather Kiefer has made a verbal commitment to play at NCAA Division I James Madison University starting in 2011-12.

The Dukes are the defending Colonial Athletic Association softball tournament champions coming off of their first ever NCAA appearance in 2009.

Kiefer has been the starting pitcher at Potomac Falls since her freshman year, and helped lead the Panthers to their best record (12-7) and best district finish (3rd place) in school history last season. She was voted All Dulles District second team pitcher and PF team MVP both years and was named team captain last season. Kiefer plays travel ball for Wagner's Gold in Maryland.
