Basketball: Dulles District Remaining Schedule/Races

(Feb. 6. 2010) - Here is a look at a potential schedule for Dulles District basketball next week:

Wednesday
Briar Woods at Park View girls/boys DH
Loudoun County vs. Dominion girls/boys DH
Freedom vs. Broad Run girls/boys DH

Thursday
Broad Run vs. Briar Woods girls/boys DH
Freedom vs. Park View girls/boys DH
Potomac Falls vs. Loudoun County girls/boys DH

Friday
Loudoun County boys at Broad Run; Broad Run girls at Loudoun County
Park View boys at Dominion; Dominion girls at Park View
Potomac Falls boys at Freedom; Freedom girls at Potomac Falls

The Races
Boys
Potomac Falls (9-1): Clinches at least a tie for the district title with a win over either Loudoun County or Freedom. Winning both assures Panthers of outright title
Broad Run (7-2): If Potomac Falls goes 1-1, Spartans need to win all three against Freedom, Briar Woods and Loudoun County to tie for title. If PF goes 0-2, Spartans can win title by going 3-0 or tie for the title with a 2-1 mark.

Girls
Freedom (8-1) and Loudoun County (8-1): Are in a dead heat and each have three games next week: The Eagles play Broad Run, Park View and Potomac Falls while the Raiders play Dominion, Potomac Falls and Broad Run.
Potomac Falls (7-3) and Broad Run (6-3): Both could technically still win a district title or tie for it but each is a long shot. They both, however, have a lot to say about the final shape of the race as each plays Freedom and Loudoun County. PF finishes with the big two, Freedom and LC, while Broad Run finishes with the big two in addition to Briar Woods.
