News: Dulles District Rescheduling Plans

(Feb. 6, 2010) - With school out Monday and Tuesday, on top of cancellations on Friday and Saturday, the Dulles District is behind the eight ball in terms of scheduling.

Here is a tentative plan:

Gymnastics District meet: Wednesday at Briar Woods but if schools are closed on Wed. then the AD's are checking on Thursday and Friday for gym availability

Swim Districts: They are checking on pool availability and it depends on if school is in session on Wednesday again

Basketball: Some teams need three games to finish the regular season and some need two games. Schools are scheduling boys/girls doubleheaders on Wednesday and Thursday with Friday on as scheduled. If Wednesday is a pdd, then Thursday and Friday would be the make-up DH's and Friday's games would be on Saturday. Any playoff to determine the district's top seed would now be held a week from Monday.

Wrestling: The only sport on schedule as the district tournament was wisely moved up to Thursday. Regionals are slated for Fri. and Sat. in Winchester.
