College Corner: Freedom Grad Troy Dockett Grabs CAC Weekly Men's Basketball Honor

(Jan. 6, 2012) - Frostburg State men's basketball senior guard Troy Dockett (South Riding, Va./Freedom) has been selected as the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Week after his stellar play in three games over the Holiday break.

The Bobcats posted a 2-1 record during that stretch with wins over former Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference rivals Penn State Altoona (99-79) and Pitt-Greensburg (91-71).


Dockett poured in 59 points during the three-game stretch. He also grabbed 10 rebounds and picked up five steals. From the field Dockett, made 53.7 percent of his field goal attempts, including 15 of 22 from three-point range - an outstanding 57.7 percent.

He scored 24 points against Pitt-Greensburg, just one point off his career high.
