(Jan. 13, 2012) - Loudoun County High School girls volleyball coach Jenica Matthias, who has led the Raiders to six consecutive AA state finals including a state title run from 2007 to 2010, has been honored by the National Federation of State High School Associations as the 2010-11 Virginia Coach of the Year as well s the Mideast (Section 2) Coach of the Year.
The NFSHSA is made up of 8 sections, and Section 2 includes: Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. Her Section 2 honor made her one of the eight National Coach of the Year finalists for volleyball.
