Wrestling: Freedom Wraps Up Share of Cedar Run District Regular Season Title

(Jan. 13, 2012) - The Freedom High School wrestling team wrapped up at least a share of their 3rd consecutive regular season district championship on Wednesday night when the Eagles swept a pair of Cedar Run District matches.


The Eagles began the night by defeating the defending Cedar Run District champions from Osbourn High School 40-22. Before defeating Stonewall Jackson Manassas 55-12. The Eagles can secure sole possession of first place with a win over Broad Run High School on Jan. 25 at the Wrestle for the Cure, Ashburn Duals.

Double winners for the Eagles on the night were Anthony Chau(106), Matt Allison(126), Tyler Beck(152), Patrick Haggerty(170), Tyler Young(182), Brendan Kammerdeiner(195), and DaQuante Timbers(285)

The Eagles will next be in action this Saturday as they host the Freedom Duals.
