(Jan. 6, 2012) - The Tony DiGiovanna Poker and Casino Fundraiser and Silent Auction Night is scheduled for Jan. 28 from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. at Embassy Suites Dulles North. All proceeds will go to the DiGiovanna Children's fund.
Ashburn resident Tony DiGiovanna lost his life over Thanksgiving weekend in a tragic boating accident.
One of the organizers Amy Hutherson: "Tony DiGiovanna was a loving husband, an active father of four beautiful children and he was the ultimate definition of a great friend for all of us. He was a coach, a pilot, a musician, a poker player, a motorcycle rider, the list goes on. One of his unique gifts was the ability to organize get-togethers, ski trips, island vacations, holiday celebrations, again the list goes on. He loved including everyone and made sure that everyone was having a good time, even if he didn't know you. He will be missed dearly but we will never forget him."
In honor of DiGiovanna's life and to help support his children's future school needs, a trust fund has been established for his children.
At the Jan. 28 event there will be live entertainment, raffles, a small buffet and a cash bar. One of the prizes is a 5-night stay in Aruba. Tumble Down Shack & Friends will provide a live performance. Among the casino games will be black jack, roulette, craps, money wheel and slots. A Texas Hold-Em poker tournament will start at 7 p.m. Non-poker players, the entry fee is $25. For poker players the fee is $100. To register: http://digiovannacasinonight.eventzilla.net.
