(Feb. 7, 2012) - Broad Run High School senior Jacob Leidy was the sole boy's double-winner at the Cedar Run District Championships Friday night at the Freedom Center in Manassas. Leidy posted season-best times en route to his wins in the 100 fly (52.62) and 100 back (55.20). His 100 fly time also automatically qualifies Leidy for the AAA state championship meet.
In the girls meet, Broad Run junior Caroline Ruttenberg swam to her first district title in the 200 free by knocking nearly two seconds off her seed time and finishing in 2:02.86. Ruttenberg climbed the podium again in the 500 free, where she finished third.
