Boys Soccer: Stone Bridge's Hamdan Commits to NCAA Division I VCU
(Feb. 25, 2012) - Stone Bridge High School senior Adam Hamdan has committed this week to play men's soccer next year at NCAA Division I VCU.
Hamdan is a member of the D.C. United U18 Academy who did not play for Stone Bridge last spring as a junior but is reportedly with the Bulldogs again for his senior campaign.
He played in 22 games, starting 19, for the D.C. United U16 Academy that went to playoffs and won the 2010/11 Mid-Atlantic Conference. Hamdan traveled to Belo Horizonte, Brazil with the D.C. United Academy, participating in the FIFA Future Champions Tournament, starting all 5 games.
Previously he was a member of the McLean U16/U18 Academy, as well as a member of the Virginia State ODP team for 3 years, including the regional semifinalist in 2009.
A starter at Stone Bridge his freshman and sophomore year, the Bulldogs accumulated a record of 29-7-1, and were crowned 2010 Northern Region Champions and AAA state semifinalists.
