(June 15, 2011) - The Ashburn Youth Pro Flag Football League will host the first annual Elite Youth Flag Football tournament this Saturday, June 18 with champions from four leagues competing in two age groups.
Ashburn Youth Pro Flag, Ida lee from Leesburg, Sterling Select, and Fauquier County Youth Pro Flag are sending their champions from the 9-to-11 and 12-13 age group. The games will be held at the George Washington University, Virginia Campus beginning at 10am.
10-11 Bracket
Cascades Titans (10-0) vs. Ida Lee Ravens (10-0), 10 a.m. Field 2
Fauquier Jaguars (9-1) vs. AYPF Vikings (10-0), 10 a.m. Field 3
12-13 Bracket
Fauquier Vikings (10-0) vs. Cascades Falcons (9-2), 11 a.m. Field 2
AYPF Lions (9-1) vs. Ida Lee Texans (9-1), 11 a.m. Field 3
Finals, noon and 1 p.m.

ReplyDeletethe heavy favorites for this tournament will be the visitors from Fauquier County. They will be bringing talent phenoms with outstanding coaches. But the Cascades teams from Sterling would like to derail the Fauquier momentum by scoring at least 1 major upset in 11U division. Coach Blackwell, the mad scientist of youth flag football, has lost only 1 game in his 3 years of coaching. The other Loudoun leagues, Ida Lee and AYPF, may have something to say about it too. It should an intersting Saturday in Ashburn!!
