(June 2, 2011) - Tuscarora High School wrestling coach, a Loudoun Valley graduate, is returning home as he has been hired as the Vikings new Assistant Athletic Director.
Barden, formerly an assistant wrestling coach at Loudoun County, was hired a year ago to start the new Huskies program.
Barden grew up in Loudoun, attending Hamilton Elementary, Blue Ridge Middle School and Loudoun Valley High School. He wrestled at George Mason University.
He received his B.S. in earth systems science at GMU and served as a strength and conditioning coach for the Patriots. Barden was an electrical apprentice and worked at Heritage High School before moving back to George Mason to become the assistant sports turf manager.
He went back to school and earned his education degree and took a job at Annandale High School. In 2008 he received his Masters of Education in special education and took a job at Harper Park Middle School in Loudoun.
