(June 7, 2011) - The Loudoun County Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse recently announced its end of the year awards.
All-American status were awarded to Chuck Carlin (Heritage High School) Senior, Midfield and Matt Bukovac (Briar Woods High School) Senior, Goalie
Also: Academic All-American
Ryan Madigan (Broad Run High School) Senior, Attack
Coach of the Year
Bruce Lipson- Briar Woods High School
Assistant Coach of the Year
Warren Dazenbaker- Freedom High School
Man of the Year
Stewart Innman- Loudoun Valley High School (Volunteer Coach)
About the awards program: This year, US Lacrosse implemented a three-tiered recognition process
to accommodate for the different high school lacrosse playing seasons across the country. The second and third boys' groups will be announced in June. After all three groups are named, US Lacrosse will select 24 players as US Lacrosse first team National All-Americans and
an additional 24 boys as US Lacrosse second team National All-Americans.
A US Lacrosse All-American is a player who exhibits superior skills and techniques and possesses exceptional game sense and knowledge. A US Lacrosse All-American is one of the best players in the United States, while also embodying excellent sportsmanship.
