On the final night of the high school volleyball regular season it was a showcase for how talented the Loudoun teams are with Heritage, securing the second seed in the Cedar Run District, with a five-game win over Battlefield, and Loudoun Valley (Cedar Run) and Stone Bridge (Liberty) both finishig their AAA district schedules unbeaten.
In AA the marquee match-up was at Broad Run where the Spartans celebrated Senior Night and the school's first district regular-season title since 1991 with a match against two-time defending state champion Loudoun County. Heritage Def. Battlefield
Heritage defeated Battlefield in five but the Bobcats will have a chance for revenge next week when these two teams will meet in Leesburg in the Cedar Run District semifinals with the winner likely advancing to regionals as long as regular-season champion Loudoun Valley survives its semifinal.

Loudoun Valley Sweeps Stonewall Jackson
Loudoun Valley defeated Stonewall Jackson high school in 3 sets, 25-12, 25-22, 25-13.
It was the 13th win in a row for the Vikings. The Vikings host Osbourn Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Cedar Run semifinals.
Stone Bridge Sweeps Fairfax
Stone Bridge finished the Liberty District season unbeaten with a win over Fairfax, 25-8, 25-14, 25-19. The Bulldogs roll into the district tournament next week, which they host, on a 12-game winning streak.

Freedom Secures Home Tournament Quarterfinal Match with Win over PF
Freedom celebrated Senior Night -- the Eagles honored eight seniors, five players and three managers -- by clinching the school's first ever volleyball district tournament home match with an exciting five-game win over Potomac Falls.
Scores were 25-18, 17-25, 25-21, 22-25, and 15-8.
Says Freedom coach Dave Tsuda: "All of the Eagle players individually and collectively contributed to an electric performance! A great finishing tribute to our senior players, senior managers, and fans alike."
The win wrapped up Freedom's best ever regular season with a 6-6 district and 10-10 overall records.
Freedom's quarterfinal will be a rematch as the Eagles host Potomac Falls on Tuesday.
In the earlier games the Freedom freshmen completed their season with a hard battle. But lost in two; scores were 15-25, 17-25. "The scores do not reflect the point-by-point trading at the first half of each gam," reported Tsuda.
The Freedom JV won convincingly in two games. Scores were 25-14, 25-21. That finishes a great season for the Freedom JV: 7-5 in District, and 13-7 overall.
