Volleyball: Final Week of Regular Season Feature Good Match-ups

The final week of the volleyball regular season features some good match-ups ... most of them involving Broad Run High School including a non-district battle between Ashburn neighbors, Stone Bridge and Broad Run, tonight. The match will get underway at Broad Run after the JV finishes up, between 7 and 7:30 p.m.

The Spartans -- undefeated in district -- have a showdown at home on Thursday with Loudoun County -- only one loss in district, to BR -- with possibly first place on the line but first both teams must win Tuesday and Broad Run will host an up-and-coming Briar Woods squad.

The Falcons are 7-4 in district and 12-7 overall and first-year coach Diane Breinig says that, "Our team seems to all finally be healthy again at this point."

Kim Bell is leading the Falcons in kills with an average of 12 per game, Caitlin Villa leads the team in digs/defensive play with an average of eight per game. Chelsea Kaser leads the team in assists with an average of 20 per game. Kaser also leads the team with 15 services aces. Bell leads the team with an average of five blocks per game.
