News: Loudoun Daily Crime Report - Road Rage in Ashburn; Sobriety Checkpoint in South Riding

(Nov. 13, 2012) - Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Daily Crime Report for Tues. Nov. 13 includes a road rage incident in Ashburn and the results of the weekend's sobriety checkpoint in South Riding:

Traffic Altercation: A 47-year-old Ashburn woman reported that she was driving in the area when she was cut off by a small red passenger vehicle. The Ashburn woman flashed her lights at the driver and at one point the two vehicles were driving side-by-side. The driver of the red passenger car began yelling at the Ashburn woman and threw something at her car. The driver was described as being a White male in his mid-twenties, with light brown hair.

Sobriety Checkpoint/Roving Detail: A sobriety checkpoint was held in the area of the listed location. A total of 360 vehicles passed through with six drivers further screened. Two drivers charged with driving without a license, two charged with driving on a suspended license sand two drivers were charged with driving on a revoked license (DUI related). One arrest was made for DUI by roving patrols.
