Football: Stone Bridge SR Jonathan Allen Named Liberty District Defensive Player of the Year

(Nov. 13, 2012) - Stone Bridge High School senior Jonathan Allen has been named the Liberty District 2012 Defensive Player of the Year after the Alabama DL recruit helped the Bulldogs capture their eighth straight district title. Stone Bridge has gone 55-1 in district play since moving up to AAA in 2005.

Allen was one of 12 Bulldogs who made first team and one of five unanimous choices including WR D'Ante Yarborough, QB Ryan Burns, DL Jesse Mizell and DB Christian Strahin.

Other first teamers: C Connor Smith, G Gabe Stewardson, OT Hunter Pack, WR Jimmy Higgins, DL Tony Gallegos, LB Cameron Reynolds and RET Rassaun Goldring.


2nd Team: OT Nick Sobhani, TE Jake Kuzbel, RB Sterling Dailey, DL Drew Dettra, DB Kyle Purcell, ATH Goldring, K Brendan Smedley.
