News: Tuscarora's Tyree Named Driver Education Teacher of the Year

(Nov. 16, 2012) - Tuscarora High School Health and Physical Education Department Chair Peggie Tyree has been selected the 2012-13 Virginia Association of Driver Education and Traffic Safety (VADETS) Teacher of the Year.


Tyree has been highly involved in all aspects of driver education at Tuscarora. She took on a leadership role last past year by mentoring teachers from Prince William, Fairfax and Loudoun counties while they were enrolled in driver education endorsement classes.

Tyree graduated from Lynchburg College with a bachelor of science degree in physical education and health. She received a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in integrating technology in schools from George Mason University.
