Football: Unbeaten Stone Bridge, Briar Woods Hold their AP Poll Spots; Tuscarora Jumps Up

(Nov. 5, 2012) - The unbeaten Stone Bridge and Briar Woods high school football teams held their AP Virginia state poll rankings with the Bulldogs still No. 4 in AAA and the Falcons No. 2 in AA. Tuscarora (9-1) jumped up four spots in AA from No. 9 to No. 5.


In AAA, Hermitage moved ahead of Oscar Smith for the top spot. Westfield remains No. 3.

In AA, Brookville remains just ahead of Briar Woodds for the top spot. Salem and Heritage-Lynchburg are No. 2 and No. 3. Loudoun County fell from the rankings after losing, 45-0, to Briar Woods Friday in the regular season finale.

In A, Essex is No. 1 followed by Clintwood and Franklin. Complete polls here.
