Football: First Annual Battle of Bill Allen Field a Success

(Nov. 6, 2012) - Last month the alumni of Park View High School football squared off against their old rivals from Broad Run in a flag football fundraiser billed as the 1st Annual Battle at Bill Allen Field.


The event, to raise money and awareness about Sudden Unexplained Death in Children, was a great success, raising over $1200.

A wonderful turnout of fans saw a very competitive game, with neither side able to open up much of a lead. Both teams traded being ahead, with Broad Run scoring with under two minutes to go to take the victory 24-23.

All the participants had a great time, and are looking forward to meeting again next season.
