(Aug. 13, 2010) - Don't let the fact that Loudoun County didn't win the Curly Licklider to start the season fool you as the Raiders were missing some top talent at that tournament. On Wednesday the defending Dulles District champions made a bold statement by firing a 297 to best AAA power Loudoun Valley (306) and Stone Bridge (332).
The 18-hole tri-match was played at the Loudoun Golf and Country Club.
The Raiders were paced by Brantley Kushner’s low medalist score of 70. Michael Linville shot a 75 and Andrew Brennaman and Sam Early each posted 76.
The Vikings were led by Scott Davidson’s 74, Tanner Welsh and Ian Hildebrand with scores of 76 and Mac Kaseman with a score of 80.
The low score for Stone Bridge, making its 2010 debut, was recorded by Matt Ashley with an even par 72. Also for the Bulldogs, Arriana Israel shot an 84, Ian Roberson had 86 and Anthony Kelley had 90.
