Boys Lacrosse: Woodgrove Selects Loudoun Valley Coach Lewandowski to Start Wolverine Program

Purcellville (Aug. 11, 2010) - Jeff Lewandowski was approved at Tuesday night's Loudoun County Public School board meeting as the new Woodgrove High School boys lacrosse coach.

Lewandowski comes to Woodgrove after serving the last three years as the head boy’s Lacrosse Coach at Loudoun Valley High School. During his tenure the Loudoun Valley boy’s lacrosse teams have finished with a record of 50-14, AAA State Runner-up in 2010, state 1uarterfinalist and region runner-up in 2009, Cedar Run Regular Season Champions (2008, 2009, 2010) and Cedar Run District Tournament Champions (2009, 2010).

He was named Cedar Run and US Lacrosse Coach of the Year in 2008 and 2010. Lewandowski also has collegiate lacrosse coaching experience at Shenandoah University and State University of New York at Oswego. Over the past several years, Lewandowski has been fortunate to have the support, talent and interest needed to promote and build a successful lacrosse program in Western Loudoun.

According to release from the Woodgrove athletic deparment: "Lewandowski hopes to bring the same level of commitment and excitement to Woodgrove High School."

Lewandowski currently serves as an Eighth Grade Science Teacher at Harmony Middle School.
