(May 21, 2010) - VivaLoudoun.com, the fast growing media site that covers sports, news and views in Loudoun County, and Loudoun-based Cheers Sports have agreed to a marketing partnership that looks to benefit both locally-owned enterprises.

"Cheers Sports has been a family sporting goods business here in Loudoun since 1995 and owner Denny Petrella has always been a big supporter of my coverage of the local sports scene so I'm very excited to have Cheers partnering with us on VivaLoudoun," said VivaLoudoun editor and founder Dan Sousa.

VivaLoudoun covers all 12 high schools in Loudoun County, highlighting their varsity sports and other items of interest to parents, athletes and coaches. A start-up in August 2009, VivaLoudoun is on pace for nearly two million page views for the 2010 year.

"Fans of VivaLoudoun have no doubt noticed the Cheers Sports ads we put up last week but that is just the start to our partnership. Cheers has agreed to sponsor an Athletes of the Month photo shoot which will start up in the fall," said Sousa. "Look for some unique giveaways and other fun joint ventures between Cheers Sports and VivaLoudoun here on VivaLoudoun and also on our fan pages on Facebook."

Sousa is the former editor and founder of LoudounPrepSports.com and LoudounYouthSports.com which he started in October 2005 and was sold to DigitalSports in 2008.
