Dulles District: Baseball, Softball and Soccer Semifinals Scheduled for Tonight

(May 25, 2010) - There is a chance that four Dulles District teams could punch their tickets for regionals tonight as the Dulles District holds semifinals in baseball, softball and soccer. At the very least, eight teams will advance to Thursday's finals at Freedom High School.

If the lower seeds are to advance, they will have to do something they couldn't do in the regular season as the lower seeds in tonight's eight semifinal contests were a combined 0-15-1 in the regular season against tonight's foes.

Baseball
No. 4 Loudoun County (10-11) at No. 1 Potomac Falls (18-2), 6 p.m.
The series: PF won 10-3 on 4.20 and 3-0 on 5.14
No. 3 Briar Woods (9-10) at No. 2 Broad Run (16-4), 7 p.m.
The series: BR won 5-3 on 4.20 and 10-2 on 5.14

Softball
No. 5 Loudoun County (9-12) at No. 1 Briar Woods (17-2), 6 p.m.
The series: BW won 10-3 on 4.27 and 11-2 on 5.6
No. 3 Park View (14-6) at No. 2 Broad Run (15-4), 6 p.m.
The series: BR won 2-1 on 4.29 and 2-0 on 5.7

Boys Soccer
No. 4 Park View (11-4-2) at No. 1 Broad Run (14-2-0), 7:45 p.m.
The series: BR won 1-0 on 4.13 and 1-0 on 5.7
