Boys Lacrosse: Northern Region Playoffs Pit Top Four Teams on Same Side of Bracket

(May 17, 2010) - The Northern Region boys lacrosse playoff match-ups have been released and the top four teams, according to rankings by laxpower.com, are all on the same side of the bracket.

Top-rated Lanlgey, No. 2 West Springfield, No. 3 Westfield and No. 4 Chantilly are all in the upper half of the bracket with West Springfield hosting Chantilly Tuesday in the opening round. The winner will likely face Langley in the quarterfinals and then possibly Westfield in the semifinals.

Stone Bridge is in the bottom half of the bracket and is traveling to Yorktown (10-7) where the Bulldogs (9-4), who lost to Langley by just two goals this season, should be a favorite. Stone Bridge would play the winner of Woodson vs. Oakton in the quarterfinals. Robinson and Madison are the other top teams in this half of the bracket.

Consolation Finals - Wed. May 26 at West Springfield. 7 p.m.
