Loudoun Valley 58, Washington WV 45
The Skinny: The Vikes traveled out of state Saturday and squeaked out a win over Washington High School. The Vikes kept pace with the Patriots in the first half, trading baskets and coming up even at the end of the half. The third quarter proved much of the same, as both teams traded baskets, and mistakes. However, the Vikings were able to speed up the tempo, as well as, step up the defense in the final quarter, and pulled away from the foul line, going 13 for 16. The Vikes were led by Kayla Sweet with 21 points, while Chrystal Oden added 12 points and 9 rebounds, and Christina Blue had 10 points and 9 boards.
