Basketball: Local Teams with High Rankings in Virginia AP Poll; Freedom Girls No. 1 in the State

(Jan. 6, 2010) - Basketball in Loudoun has had to struggle over the years to earn respect around the state but in the latest Virginia Associated Press Basketball Rankings four teams are ranked in the top four including the Freedom High School girls ranked No. 1 in AA.

Along with Freedom, the defending Division 3 state champ, Loudoun County, the defending Division 4 state champ, is ranked No. 4.

On the boys side, Potomac Falls is ranked No. 2 in the state and Broad Run is ranked No. 4.
