Ashburn (Oct. 19, 2009) - The Dulles Little League-based Riverdogs travel baseball team hasn't even been together for a year but that hasn't stopped the age U11 team from winning 24 of 29 games played and collecting titles including the Columbus Day tournament at Cal Ripken Stadium and the Old Dominion Baseball League and tournament in July.

The team, formed in January of 2009, is coached by Dan Sullivan, whoe played at Annandale High School and went on to pitch and catch at George Washington University.


All players must be in the Dulles Little League and the Dulles games take priority over the travel schedule.

The Riverdogs played in the Old Dominion Baseball League in Spring of 2009, went 13-4 and won the 10u National League Championship.

Every Riverdog player made their respective Dulles Little League All Star teams this summer.

The Riverdogs resumed play this Fall and have gone 11-0 playing now as an 11u team.

The team went 5-0 the weekend of Oct 10-11 to win the Ripken Baseball Columbus Day Tournament, beating teams from as far away as Canada.

Overall, the team's record stands now at 24-5 after playing together for nine months.
