Volleyball: Freedom and Heritage End Seasons in State Quarterfinals

(Nov. 17, 2010) - Freedom High School had its best girls volleyball season in history and Heritage High School captured a regional title for the first time in school history both both schools were unable to advance out the VHSL state quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Freedom fell on the to road (25-13, 27-25, 25-15) to a Grafton team that finished AA runner-up to Loudoun County in 2007 and 2009.

Heritage dropped a decision in four games to power Deep Run at home Tuesday (25-18, 25-17, 22-25, 27-25).

Freedom finishes 17-11 overall and Heritage ends the season at 23-3.
