Football: Playoffs Coverage as Five Area Teams Get Ready for Regional Semifinals

(Nov. 18, 2010) - Five area football teams will play on Friday and Saturday in the regional semifinals as the second week of the playoffs unfolds.

VivaLoudoun editor Dan Sousa will cover the Region II Division 4 semifinal in Brambleton as Liberty travels to Briar Woods.

We are working with other area media outlets to broaden our coverage so we will be getting some photos and linking to Sean Farrell's Ashburn Patch coverage of the Broad Run at Louisa County game in the other Region II Division 4 semifinal.

In Northern Region Division 5 we will be picking up Loudoun Times-Mirror sports editor Carl Lukat's coverage of the Stone Bridge vs. South Lakes game in Ashburn.

In addition, Loudoun Valley is on the road Friday in Northwest Region Division 5 at Osbourn and Park View travels Saturday for a 1 p.m. Region II Division 3 match-up at Warren County.
