Girls Lacrosse: Loudoun Valley's McGinn Signs with George Mason

Caitlin McGinn (#14) will play NCAA Division I at GMU next year.
(Nov. 17, 2010) - Loudoun Valley High School defensive standout Caitlin McGinn, who has helped the Vikings advance to the state semifinals three straight years, has signed her National Letter of Intent to play NCAA Division I lacrosse next year at George Mason University.

In three years as a starter for the Vikings, McGinn had led Valley to three straight Cedar Run District titles and two Northwest Region crowsn.

McGinn was second team all-district and honorable mention all-region her freshman year and first team all-district, first team all-region and Loudoun Extra first team her sophomore and junior years as well as honorable mention All-Met her sophomore year.

She plays club lacrosse for the last three years for the Frederick Stars (FSLAX). The Stars have finished the season without a loss since July 17, winning the Galaxy Club Championship, all four games at the Rivalry Challenge and the Mid Atlantic tourney at the McDonogh School last weekend.

McGinn was named second team All Galaxy midfield in 2009 and second team All Galaxy defense in 2010.
