Football: VHSL Playoffs Set, Six Loudoun Teams In with Four Hosting Friday

(Nov. 7, 2010) - The VHSL football playoffs first round have been set and six Loudoun teams are officially in with four hosting games this coming Friday including Briar Woods, Broad Run, Loudoun Valley and Stone Bridge. Dominion and Park View will be on the road.

Briar Woods is the No. 2 seed in Division 4 Region II with the 8-2 Falcons hosting Orange (7-3). Two-time defending Division 4 state champion Broad Run (9-1) is the No. 4 seed, hosting Sherando (8-2).

In Division 3 Region II, Dominion (4-6) makes its first ever playoff appearance, on the road at Warren County (7-3). Park View (4-6) is at Millbrook (6-4).

Undefeated Stone Bridge (10-0) opens the Division 5 Northern Region playoffs by hosting .500 Stuart (5-5). In the Northwest Region Division 5 Loudoun Valley (7-3) is the No. 4 seed, hosting Stafford (5-5).
