News: VivaLoudoun T-Shirts Have Arrived -- Donate and Get One Today!

Get a couple of these cool t-shirts and start your own VivaLoudoun T-shirt Party!

(Oct. 26, 2010) - We have been promising VivaLoudoun t-shirts for many years -- since the late 1950s actually -- and now they have finally arrived.

A big thanks for Cheers Sports for printing up these T's that come in sizes from Adult small to XL with even some 2XL and 3XL thrown in for good measure.

Answer: Great question ... you could win one of our contests such as the Beat the LoCo Experts football picks game or you could spot VivaLoudoun editor Dan Sousa (that is me!) out at a game and whisper the "Word of the Day" to him (it was Amigo last week!) ... or you can donate to help fund VivaLoudoun's coverage of youth and high school sports in Loudoun and we will send you a t-shirt!

Simply hit the Donate button on the right side of our homepage and follow the easy instructions from PayPal ... VivaLoudoun is not a non-profit (though our bank account says otherwise!) so your donation is not tax-deductible but if you donate $25 we will send you a t-shirt and if you donate $50 you can grab two t-shirts! Donate $100 and the VivaLoudoun Fox will put you in our Hall of Fame of supporters (building not built yet but we are designing a page!) ...

Another good question ... almost as if I am writing these questions ... let look at the history of our t-shirt development ...

Early Stages: little known fact is that among the discovery of the Cro-Magnon man artifacts were cave paintings that included hunt scenes, family scenes as well as VivaLoudoun early t-shirt drawings ...

Delayed Shipment: Our first shipment of t-shirts from overseas was accidentally thrown overboard in the Boston Harbor in 1773 ... Samuel Adams was heard to exclaim: "I said to dump the tea! Not the T's!"

First Prototypes: Our first t-shirt designer, H. Ford was working on an early model of the T when he got frustrated and started moonlighting designing cars instead ...

Pent-up Demand: In the 1950s, the clamor was so great to get our t-shirts printed that Doris Day sung about it in "(VivaLoudoun) T-(Shirts) For Two"

Finally: Residents around the country started meeting in groups to talk about the soon to be released t-shirts ... VivaLoudoun "T parties" they were called ... we think they talked about politics when they got bored?!?
