News: Weather Dampens Monday Night Playoff Schedule

(May 21, 2012) - Today's rain has dampened the big playoff schedule with a lot of postponements:

Cedar Run District Finals: Baseball consolation finals (Broad Run vs. Patriot) and finals (Freedom vs. Osbourn) has been postponed to Tues. May 21 at 4 and 7 p.m. at Patriot High School. Softball finals (Broad Run vs. Battlefield) are now 7 p.m. on Tues. May 21. Soccer boys finals (Freedom vs. Stonewall Jackson) and girls finals (Broad Run vs. Freedom) is still on for 5 and 7 p.m. today at Patriot.

Liberty District Finals: Baseball (Stone Bridge vs. McLean) and Softball (Stone Bridge vs. Madison) have been postpone to Tues. May 21 at 5:30 p.m. at McLean High School.

Region II Tennis: Kettle Run at Loudoun County boys postponed to Tues. May 21 at 1 p.m.; Briar Woods boys at Fauquier postponed to Tues. May 21 at 3:30 p.m; Dominion girls at Handley postponed to Tues. May 21 with time TBA; No word on Woodgrove girls tennis hosting Skyline postponed to Tues. May 21 at 4 p.m.

Region II Lacrosse: Still on - Dominion boys vs. Loudoun Valley game has been moved from Sterling to the turf field at Tuscarora High School in Leesburg, 7 p.m.; Woodgrove is at Culpeper County 7 p.m.; Briar Woods has a bye into Wednesday's semifinals. Tuscarora girls are at Loudoun County at 6 p.m.; Loudoun Valley is at Fauquier at 6 p.m. Woodgrove has a bye into Wednesday's semifinals.

Early changes for Tues. May 21

Northern Region Soccer: Oakton at Stone Bridge girls soccer first round game has been moved up from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m. start.
