News: Friday Activities Rescheduled Including Dulles and Liberty District Swim Meets

(Jan. 25, 2013) - Forecast for snow and already ice side streets in Loudoun has promoted Loudoun County Public Schools officials to release students one hour early today and cancel all after school athletic events.

Dulles District swim is now rescheduled for noon on Saturday at Claude Moore and the Liberty District two-day meet is now going to be a one-day meet with timed finals starting Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Audrey Moore.

News: Weather Dampens Monday Night Playoff Schedule

(May 21, 2012) - Today's rain has dampened the big playoff schedule with a lot of postponements:

Cedar Run District Finals: Baseball consolation finals (Broad Run vs. Patriot) and finals (Freedom vs. Osbourn) has been postponed to Tues. May 21 at 4 and 7 p.m. at Patriot High School. Softball finals (Broad Run vs. Battlefield) are now 7 p.m. on Tues. May 21. Soccer boys finals (Freedom vs. Stonewall Jackson) and girls finals (Broad Run vs. Freedom) is still on for 5 and 7 p.m. today at Patriot.

Liberty District Finals: Baseball (Stone Bridge vs. McLean) and Softball (Stone Bridge vs. Madison) have been postpone to Tues. May 21 at 5:30 p.m. at McLean High School.

Region II Tennis: Kettle Run at Loudoun County boys postponed to Tues. May 21 at 1 p.m.; Briar Woods boys at Fauquier postponed to Tues. May 21 at 3:30 p.m; Dominion girls at Handley postponed to Tues. May 21 with time TBA; No word on Woodgrove girls tennis hosting Skyline postponed to Tues. May 21 at 4 p.m.

Region II Lacrosse: Still on - Dominion boys vs. Loudoun Valley game has been moved from Sterling to the turf field at Tuscarora High School in Leesburg, 7 p.m.; Woodgrove is at Culpeper County 7 p.m.; Briar Woods has a bye into Wednesday's semifinals. Tuscarora girls are at Loudoun County at 6 p.m.; Loudoun Valley is at Fauquier at 6 p.m. Woodgrove has a bye into Wednesday's semifinals.

News: Showers Move Into Area Just in Time to Postpone Some Games

(May 9, 2012) - Showers moved into Loudoun around 5 p.m. to force some late postponements to tonight's schedule. More may come:

Stone Bridge announced that boys soccer vs. Thomas Jefferson has been moved to May 10; baseball vs. Marshall has been moved to May 10; softball vs. Oakton is postponed with no make-up date yet; and the Honda of Dulles Battle of Ashburn track and field meet is postponed and will not be made up.

Also, Woodgrove vs. Tuscarora baseball and softball has been postponed for a second straight night with May 10 the make-up date. The Freedom vs. Broad Run baseball and softball were also postponed for a second straight night with May 10 as the make-up.

(Oct. 14, 2011) - Wet playing conditions has postponed the Dominion at Loudoun County High School football game from tonight to Saturday at noon.

(May 18, 2011) - The baseball and softball games scheduled at Heritage High School tonight with Battlefield have been postponed until Friday with both games starting at 6 p.m.

Baseball and Softball: Dominion at Broad Run Games Pushed Back a Day

(May 4, 2011) - A day after falling for the first time this season in Dulles District play, the Broad Run High School baseball team will get an extra day rest as tonight's home game with Dominion has been pushed back a day due to wet field conditions in Ashburn. The Spartans girls softball, which fell by the 10-run rule at Potomac Falls as well Tuesday night, is also delaying its game with Dominion for one day.

(Apr. 14, 2011) - The scheduled baseball and softball games at Potomac Falls High Thursday with Briar Woods, both with big implications in the Dulles District standings, have been postponed due to poor field conditions.

The varsity baseball and varsity softball will be made up on Monday, May 9th, both at Potomac Falls, 6:00.

The junior varsity baseball game vs. Potomac Falls will be made up on Monday, May 2, 6:00 at Briar Woods.

News: Weather Forcing Postponements Friday Evening

(Apr. 8, 2011) - The rainy weather is forcing postponements. Please check back to VivaLoudoun as we update this list as the news rolls in:

Briar Woods:
The JV and Varsity Baseball games and softball games scheduled for Friday, April 8 have been postponed. The Varsity baseball and varsity softball games have been rescheduled for Monday, April 11th, both at 6:00 p.m., both at home. The JV baseball game has been rescheduled for May 9th at Tuscarora, 6:00.

The Boys JV and Varsity soccer matches scheduled for April 8th have been postponed to Wednesday, April 13th, at home, JV at 6:00, Vars. 7:30.

The Girls Soccer matches scheduled for April 8th are still on as scheduled at Tuscarora.

Broad Run:
All games between Broad Run and Freedom have been canceled today. Boys soccer, baseball and softball will play Wed. 4/13. Girls soccer will play Mon. April 25 at Broad Run.

Soccer Games:
We have moved the boy's soccer games at LCHS to Thursday 4/7. They would follow a Varsity Girl's Lax match (to be moved to 5:30pm). JV start time will be listed at 6:45pm and the Varsity at 8:15pm. I say "listed" because they will IMMEDIATELY follow the Lax game.
Girls Soccer is moved to Wednesday 4/13 at BRHS...VARSITY ONLY...and will follow a Track meet at BRHS, and will start at 8pm. JV will be rescheduled TBD.

News: Stone Bridge Postpones Baseball, Moves Varsity Lacrosse Matches Up

(Mar. 21, 2011) - The Stone Bridge High School baseball season opener with Chantilly has been postponed until March 30 due to wet playing conditions.

The Bulldog boys and girls varsity lacrosse matches against Chantilly (boys at home and girls away) have been moved up with the JV matches postponed to a later date. The boys will now face off at 5:30 p.m. in Ashburn and the girls at 6 p.m. in Chantilly.

Stone Bridge tennis with South Lakes is on as scheduled.

Basketball: Loudoun Schools Closure Postpones Region II Quarterfinals to Wednesday

(Feb. 22, 2011) - The 10 Loudoun schools advancing to the Region II Division 3 and Division 4 quarterfinals will have to wait a day as their games have been pushed back one night with the Loudoun County Public Schools closed today due to the weather.

The Heritage girls Northwest Region quarterfinal at Forest Park is also pushed back.
