Swim: USA Swimming Bans Loudoun-Based Swim Coach Michael Pliuskaitis

(Feb. 18, 2013) - The Washington Post reported over the weekend that Michael Pliuskaitis, formerly the head coach at Loudoun County-based SNOW Swimming, has been placed on USA Swimming's permanently banned list resulting from rules violations relating to improper conduct with athletes.

News: Friday Activities Rescheduled Including Dulles and Liberty District Swim Meets

(Jan. 25, 2013) - Forecast for snow and already ice side streets in Loudoun has promoted Loudoun County Public Schools officials to release students one hour early today and cancel all after school athletic events.

Dulles District swim is now rescheduled for noon on Saturday at Claude Moore and the Liberty District two-day meet is now going to be a one-day meet with timed finals starting Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Audrey Moore.

Swim: Tuscarora SR Amanda Presgraves Commits to James Madison

(April 13, 2012) - Tuscarora High School senior, Amanda Presgraves, recently committed to swim for James Madison University next year. The JMU Swim and Dive team won the 2012 Division I CAA Conference and is currently ranked second in the Mid-Major Poll.

Presgraves has competed with SNOW Swimming for the past 12 years and currently holds several swimming records for 2nd-year Tuscarora.

News: Winter Storm Watch in Effect from Late Tonight through Saturday Afternoon - Potential for 5 or More Inches of Snow Along the Blue Ridge!

(Oct. 28, 2011) - OK, raise your hand if you are planning to be the Abominable Snowman for Halloween because we have some weather you might love! The National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington has issued a winter storm watch in effect from late tonight through Saturday afternoon which calls for a potential for five inches or more of snow along the Blue Ridge.

Paul Bergen, currently retired and widely regarded by many as one of the world’s greatest female swim coaches, will be visiting Loudoun-based SNOW Swimming on Oct 1-3.
