Boys Basketball: Triple Overtime Thriller! Milhailovich Scores 51, Halfcourt Game Winner for PFalls

Sterling (Dec. 11, 2009) - Potomac Falls junior Lukas Mihailovich scored 51 points Friday, including a halfcourt buzzer-beater in triple overtime that handed the Panthers a thrilling, 111-108, victory over Stone Bridge in a tipoff tournament game at Park View High School.

Stone Bridge (0-2) had tied the game with four seconds left in the third overtime on Mike Hamrick's clutch three free throws but Mihailovich took the inbounds and after three quick dribbles, launched a halfcourt while being double-teamed that found the basket to end the two-and-half hour marathon.

Stone Bridge was led by Nik Brown with 30 points, all in regulation before fouling out.

Bulldog Freshman Jimmy Paige added 18 points and 15 rebounds. Stone Bridge senior James Wells sent the game into a third overtime by knocking down a 3-pointer with two seconds left in the second overtime.

Potomac Falls led 41-24 at the half but Stone Bridge fought back to tie things at 74-74 at the end of regulation.
