News: Tryout for Pro's vs. Joe's Set for May 5

(May 2, 2012) - O.K. "average Joe" athletes ... here is your chance to face the Pro's in a flag football game and other skills competitions, but first you have to try out on Saturday, May 5 at 4:30 p.m.

The Redskins Pro's vs. Joe's 2nd Annual summer festival is set for June 9. NFL alumni are scheduled to face the "Joe's" coached by Rock Parrish of 106.7 The Fan's Kevin and Rock Show. Parrish will be evaluting players for his "Joe's" team at Phenom Strength and Conditioning located at 21690 Red Rum Drive (Suite 107) in Ashburn. Registration form for the tryout.


All proceeds will benefit the In Between The Lines non-profit -- which has a goal for 2012 of raising $100,000 for programs to help at-risk youth -- as well as Habitat for Humanity and INOVA outreach and support of homeless kids in Loudoun County.

The June 9 event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Church/Virginia Academy fields in Ashburn (19799 Ashburn Road) will feature autograph signings, meet your favorite Redskins alumni, the Hogettes, a silent auction, donation stations, food and other children activities as well as the Pro's vs. Joe's game and 1-on-1 skills competitions against your favorite Pro.
