Science: Loudoun County Public Schools Students Excel at Virginia Science Fair

(April 19, 2012) - Loudoun County Public Schools students took five first-place awards out of 17 categories at the 2012 Virginia State Science & Engineering Fair held April 6-7 at Old Dominion University.


 Following is a list of LCPS award winners:
 First Place Awards
• Caitlin Morris – Dominion High School/Academy of Science and Ashley Ferguson – Stone Bridge High School/Academy of Science, Molecular Biology
 • Frank Song – Loudoun Valley High School/Academy of Science and Kyra Brower – Stone Bridge High School/Academy of Science, Plant Science
• Amanda Wong – Dominion High School/Academy of Science, Microbiology
• Jacob Savos – Dominion High School/Academy of Science, Mathematics
• Peter Todoroff – Dominion High School, Physics

 2nd Place
• Ehsan Jafree – Stone Bridge High School/Academy of Science, Environmental Management
• Tyler Crawford – Stone Bridge High School/Academy of Science and Shannon Daily – Heritage High School/Academy of Science, Engineering: Materials and Bioengineering

 3rd Place
• Katharine Xiao – Broad Run High School/Academy of Science, Physics and Astronomy

 Honorable Mention
