Drama: Not Too Late to Catch Sterling Playmakers "Odd Couple" both Male and Female Versions!

(April 17, 2012) - For those of you afraid to attend the Sterling Playmakers current run of the "Odd Couple" because you thought it was a comedy about Viva Loudoun editor Dan Sousa and Loudoun Times-Mirror sports editor Carl Lukat, rest assured, the long-running drama company is presenting not one but two versions of Neil Simon's classic laugh out loud play.

With a run that started over the weekend, the Sterling Playmkers are presenting a male version (April 21 and April 22 at 3 p.m.) and female version (April 20 and 21 at 8 p.m.) of the play about roommates gone wild! Tickets are $12 (or $20 to attend both shows on April 21) at the theatre located at Sterling Middle School on Holly Ave. in Sterling.


The traditional 1960's "Male" version matches a happily divorced slob (Oscar Madison played by Jay Tilley) with a soon-to-be-divorced neat-freak (Felix Unger played by Tom Cohen). When these two polar opposites share an apartment, hilarious fallout ensues!

The 1980's "Female" version follows the storyline closely, but with all of the roles switched, as messy Olive Madison (played by Vicki Sanders) allows neurotic Florence Unger (played by Beverly Pruzina) to move in with her. It's a fresh feminine perspective on one of the all-time great comedies!"
