(Nov. 12, 2012) - So you missed the Sterling Playmakers production of "Cinderella: Once Upon a Time" don't worry about turning into a pumpkin just yet as you can see catch the family friendly musical based o the classic fairy tale this coming weekend with four performances scheduled.

Produced by Lora Buckmana and written and directed by Joe Campanella, you can catch performances:

Drama: Catching the Magic at Briar Woods High School

(Nov. 7, 2012) - Sure "Catching the Magic" might sound like a plug to check out the Briar Woods High School football team's march towards a third straight state title but the Falcons will also kick off their school-wide play "Catching the Magic" Thursday at 7 p.m. for a five-show run.

The production, written by Marilyn Gilligan, is family-friendly for all ages and features just about every Prince, Princess and Fairy you have ever known ... on one stage! Kids are even encouraged to come to the play in costume as their favorite character.

Drama: Not Too Late to Catch Sterling Playmakers "Odd Couple" both Male and Female Versions!

(April 17, 2012) - For those of you afraid to attend the Sterling Playmakers current run of the "Odd Couple" because you thought it was a comedy about Viva Loudoun editor Dan Sousa and Loudoun Times-Mirror sports editor Carl Lukat, rest assured, the long-running drama company is presenting not one but two versions of Neil Simon's classic laugh out loud play.

With a run that started over the weekend, the Sterling Playmkers are presenting a male version (April 21 and April 22 at 3 p.m.) and female version (April 20 and 21 at 8 p.m.) of the play about roommates gone wild! Drama: Loudoun County Students Named Outstanding Actors at VHSL State Theatre Festival

(Dec. 17, 2009) - Loudoun County High School seniors Lauren Talbot and Jefferson Harris were named Outstanding Actors at the Virginia High School League (VHSL) State Theatre Festival on Dec. 8 in Charlottesville.

Talbot and Harris were honored for their roles as “Miss Mellencamp” and “Elliot,” respectively, in the LCHS Drama Department's production of “COMPETITION PIECE.” Only eight awards are given in Group AA and Loudoun County was the only high school to place two performers in the elite group.

The play, which placed first in Dulles District and Region II competitions, came in third overall at the state level. This was the Loudoun County Drama Department's fourth trip to state competition in five years and their second third place finish during that span.
