Drama: Sterling Playmakers Present the Musical Fairytale "Hansel & Gretel"

(Feb. 28, 2013) - This weekend, The Sterling Playmakers present the musical: "Hansel & Gretel" written & directed by Joe Campanella and produced by Lora Buckman.

Show are at 7:30 p.m. Fri. March 1 and Sat. March 2 and 3 p.m. show on Sun. March 3 at Sterling Middle School on Holly Ave. in Sterling. Tickets are $8 with a $1 off for donation of canned food donation to LINK.


Adapted from the German fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel is about a brother and sister who live with their parents in a small village in the forest. One day, the children become lost in the forest and discover a house made of gingerbread and sweets. They are unaware that the woman who lives there is a witch who likes to lure children to her house as her supper.

The Sterling Playmakers version is lighthearted fun, filled with laughs, warmth, and several songs - all with a contemporary feel that will appeal to adults as well as children. The show lasts about an hour.
