News: Sheriff's Seek Hit-and-Run Driver that Sideswiped Loudoun County School Bus in Ashburn

(Feb. 13, 2013) - The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking a hit-and-run driver of a dark green Jeep Cherokee that sideswiped a Loudoun County Public Schools bus on Belmont Ridge Road in Ashburn just after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the daily crime report:

• A dark green Jeep Cherokee was attempting to pass a Loudoun County School bus on a solid-double yellow line when it clipped the side of the bus. The vehicle continued southbound on Belmont Ridge Road (near Broadlands Blvd) without stopping. A bus driver and one student were on the bus at the time of the incident. There were no injuries reported. The vehicle is further described as having a black roof rack and should have damage to the passenger side tire/rim/rear quarter panel area.

• Peeping Tom reported in Sterling on 100 block of N. Sycamore Road at 6:30 a.m. A resident reported that an unknown subject was observed looking into a window of their home. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male and was observed leaving in a dark colored passenger car.
