News: Swim U Opening this Month in Village at Leesburg

(April 7, 2012) - Swim U, an indoor swim school, will open this month 2012 in the Village at Leesburg near Wegmans Food Market.

Swim U will offer year round climate controlled swim lessons to children ages 6 months to ten years.


The facility is nearing completion, and will feature a 1,200 square foot indoor heated pool in a 4,000 SF space.

This concept has seen substantial growth nationally in recent years, as concerns of water safety for children has risen, producing more demand for swim lessons. The nine month curriculum is designed to get children confident and safe in the water through small group weekly instruction. Most classes are taught in a 4:1 ratio.

The large pool will be able to accommodate up to nine classes at a time, catering to children of all ages and skill levels. Although Swim U primarily focuses on young swimmers, it will also provide stroke correction classes, individual lessons, accelerated programs and party packages.

Swim U plans to hire eight local part and full time employees to staff their newest location. Swim U is also opening locations in Dallas, Raleigh, and Kansas City this spring.
