Football: Heritage Junior OLB/RB Chris Aguemon Drawing Ivy League Interest

(April 6, 2012) - Heritage High School junior outside linebacker/running back Chris Aguemon has been drawing Ivy League interest with contact from both Dartmouth and Harvard as well as VMI.


Aguemon started for Heritage in the fall at outside linebacker and was part of the "Restore the Roar" campaign that helped the Pride made the playoffs for the first time in school history.

The 5-foot-9, 175-pound prospect has clocked a 4.70 40 yard dash, and maxed at 265 pounds on the bench and 550 pounds on squat. Aguemon is on the Pride track and field team this spring as well as training privately with Robert Smart and Vision Sports.

Last season, Aguemon recorded 31 tackles, trhee sacks, and a fumble recovery.

"I have other interests, but Darmouth, Harvard and VMI are currently the top three on my radar" said Aguemon. "I plan to attend some of these camps this summer."

Look for Aguemon to start at both running back and OLB as a senior.

As a student, it is evident why he has drawn Ivy League interest as he is a straight-A student even with a full classlod of honors courses. He currently holds a 4.35 GPA and also attends the Academy of Science at Dominion. Past football, he is looking towards a major in political science leading eventually to law school.
